Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Shoulder.

Most clients describe shoulder waxing as mild to moderate discomfort. Pain varies with sensitivity, hair thickness, and technician skill. Sessions are quick and results are immediate, with pain often lessening after repeated appointments as hair thins.

For the wax to grip properly, hair should be about 1/4 to 1/2 inch long (6–12 mm). If hair is too short, wait 2–3 weeks; if very long, a light trim may be done before waxing.

Results typically last three to six weeks depending on individual growth cycles, hormones, and lifestyle. Regular waxing can slow regrowth and make hair finer over time, extending smooth periods.

Active sunburn, open wounds, rashes, severe eczema, psoriasis flare-ups, recent chemical peels, or use of isotretinoin often require postponement. Inform your technician about medications or skin issues before booking.

Gently exfoliate 24–48 hours before your appointment, avoid heavy sun exposure, skip lotions or oils, and ensure hair length is adequate. Wear loose clothing to the salon to reduce friction after the service.

Avoid hot showers, heavy exercise, swimming, and direct sun for 24–48 hours. Apply soothing aloe or recommended calming lotion, exfoliate gently after 48 hours, and wear loose clothing to reduce irritation.
